Huyton & PRESCOT GOLF CLub
WELCOME TO HUYTON & PRESCOT G.C.
Welcome to members and visitors alike and thanks for visiting our website! Huyton & Prescot Golf Club was founded in 1905 and is home to a gem of a parkland golf course that is only ten miles outside of Liverpool, in the County of Merseyside and is well within easy reach from the motorway networks. Although our course is sometimes deemed not the longest it is widely regarded as one of the best tests of golf in the North West area, with our tree lined fairways and undulating greens it will certainly put your course management and golfing abilities under pressure but provide the perfect setting for a great days golfing.
The course here at Huyton and Prescot was built on the land of an old family estate and has a mature beauty that will relax and impress the golfing eye. It is a haven for the thoughtful, competitive golfer and has a lively active membership who are always friendly and welcoming to visitors and potential new members. We consider ourselves one of the finest golf courses in Liverpool and take great pride in our club, take a look at the options below and consider us for you next golfing trip either for a solo visit or with society or corporate event we would love to have you.
Improvement Works
7-Stage development plan
Our club is proud to be undertaking a comprehensive 7-stage development plan to enhance the quality, playability, and resilience of our golf course. Significant progress has already been made across the first three phases. Phase 1 focused on improving drainage across six key greens, including the historically wet 7th green, resulting in firmer, healthier playing surfaces. Phase 2 saw large-scale drainage improvements on the 13th fairway, the removal of an obsolete ditch alongside the 12th and 13th holes, a complete rebuild of the 7th tee, and extensive tree clearance across the course to improve airflow, light access, and turf health. Phase 3 introduced major drainage work on the 4th and 5th fairways, the construction of a new drainage ditch down the 4th fairway to support drainage for the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 16th, and 17th holes, the addition of new water features behind the 7th green to enhance drainage and aesthetics, and the creation of a new competition tee on the 13th hole. These works reflect our commitment to delivering a more consistent, enjoyable playing experience for members and guests — rain or shine.
