Get to know our wonderful course by taking a look through our course planner. Use the arrows below to view the different holes on our wonderful golf course.
1st Hole SI 1 449 yards
A tough opening hole. All but the scratch golfers get shots on this hole, and it should be acceptable to use them. The golfer that chases par on this hole will require skill and thick skin.
2nd Hole SI 7 371 yards
A good drive on this hole will open up a challenging approach. Under the gaze of the clock tower (the approach to the green is seen in the page header), one should avoid the pond on the left and its charming fountain.
3rd Hole SI 13 360 yards
A short par 4, set up for those with good course management. Place your tee shot on the crown of the hill and the approach is a straight forward mid to short iron. Get greedy and a hanging lie in the semi awaits.
4th Hole SI 3 415 yards
More risk & reward challenges. The normal driving zone has a fairway bunker and tree laden dip. But if you lay up too much, the green has it sandy guardians.
5th Hole SI 15 153 yards
The signature hole with lots of don’ts. Don’t hit it into the pond in front of the tee. Don’t pull it, push it or hit long. A plateau green that is a well known card breaker.
6th Hole SI 5 373 yards
A sweeping left Par 4, where a draw would be ideal off the tee. There are guard dog bunkers protecting a green that rises out of the ground. Although when you’re putting you wonder whether it falls from back to front?
7th Hole SI 9 178 yards
Another challenging short hole. The mature woodland to the left and rear, also the stream to the right may cause problems. Not for the first time that straight is good.
8th Hole SI 17 355 yards
A blind tee shot on a sharp dog leg right. Trust the marker for around 230 yards to avoid having to go over the tall trees. Then avoid the stream with a short iron. This course is not short of trees.
9th Hole SI 11 348 yards
Another straight drive which avoids the cross bunkers will leave a shortish iron and a chance to pick up a shot. If the course is winning at this stage, take a look to the right at one of the oldest and finest oak trees in the area, it is thought to be approaching 400 years old. If its in the way, good luck.
10th Hole SI 8 391 yards
Half way round and in good shape? Take a sip from the fountain, there may be a dry mouth ahead. Avoid yet more tree laden rough, and don’t be too aggressive on the approach as this green can be difficult to hold.
11th Hole SI 18 169 yards
The easiest hole on the course according to the index, but you’d better avoid the stream, trees and bunkers. There are no wide open spaces on this course.
12th Hole SI 4 417 yards
Hope you enjoyed the last few holes, as its time to concentrate. Another long draw would do nicely. That’s a draw, not a hook.
13th Hole SI 10 540 yards
A well placed tee shot is needed here, being mindful of the bunker on the right side on the corner of the dog leg. For the bigger hitters a chance for home in 2 to a green guarded by a green side bunker on the left, Stay left side!
14th Hole SI 16 187 yards
A mid iron to another plateau green. The valley of sin to the left, and the steam to the right. Is that card getting heavier in your pocket.
15th Hole SI 14 367 yards
A good driving hole, to be played as you see it. Avoid the 5 large bunkers on your approach and a good short game helps.
16th Hole SI 2 401 yards
A solid shot to the corner of this dog leg left, opens up a challenging approach of over 150 yards. You will see that a shot to the right of the green is not good, so the ball below your feet doesn’t help. Or for the lefties, don’t draw it.
17th Hole SI 12 338 yards
A dog leg right. The big hitters are off again, seeing corners to cut. Yet the rough is tough and littered with trees. A solid shot to the corner, leaves a short iron to a McKenzie green. Don’t finish up top, when the flags on the bottom.
18th Hole SI 6 209 yards
Well done, just a 200 yard plus short hole left. This course just didn’t let up, did it. Your efforts around this green, will be observed by the members in the Club House. However when you’re finished and in the lounge, it’ll be your turn to glance over and enjoy that well earned drink and some mild banter.
